Bio:

Jeff Lunceford who is known by his producer moniker, J.L.; knew he wanted to play or create music very early in his life. He fell in love with music as a child after the first time he was introduced to various instruments such as drums, keyboards and guitars. Music became his passion early and led to him creating a punk rock "cover" band as an adolescent. They played the music of any band they idolized at the time but they primarily played the tunes of the 'Ramones', 'Sex Pistols', and 'Blink 182'. His musical talents grew and his middle school band evolved into a metal band in high school; that played their own original music. J.L. wrote a majority of the bands music and had a passion for the creative process behind birthing new music. After the music was written he would teach his fellow band members their parts but his investment in the band wasn't matched by the other members, and as a result the band dissolved by his Junior year in high school. J.L. then met a young and up and coming rapper and producer named 'Trig' aka 'Triggarillo' who introduced him to the digital art of creating music. At the time the methods Trig used to create music were a  "foreign language to him" since he was a "metal head / analog guitar player" at the time. With a deep appreciation for all forms of music he made the transition to creating hip-hop music and he began crafting beats on FruityLoops and Reasons. Quickly he learned that producing was the the perfect fit for him because it allowed him to bring his visions to fruition better than writing or playing instruments ever could. The two music enthusiasts teamed up and exchanged musical insights and at that moment the music producer J.L. was born. After starting as a self taught music enthusiast he honed his skills in college after getting a degree in music production and engineering. J.L. has been playing and writing music since he can remember and he has been producing since 2006; his talents transcend genres and he is truly a student of his craft.
